This quirky little piece emerged from fragments I found in a notebook during the early days of the Covid-19 lockdowns between 2020 and 2022. As we found ourselves indoors, a bit scared, a bit bored, and with little to do, I began organising piles of manuscript and sifting through many old musical ideas. I came across a small book that contained various experiments with different chord progressions and structures. As I played through these, I became engrossed in exploring my former self. Some of these ideas were over 10 years old, leading me on a journey through my own memories into the hazy past.
I decided to bring these different ideas together, and discovered they formed a meandering and poignant harmonic journey, uniting musical ideas that spanned a long and varied period of my musical development.
